


On 15 October 2009, Dr. Florian Langenscheidt presented Dr.Hauschka Skin Care with the award for German natural cosmetics at the Frankfurt Book Fair. Katharina Hahlhege, head of Marketing & Sales at WALA Heilmittel GmbH, accepted the stele-shaped prize. This represented the fourth time that Dr.Hauschka Skin Care has been included in the standard reference work Marken des Jahrhunderts (Brands of the Century), which is published by Langenscheidt. The work documents the economic performance of German brands. In it, Langenscheidt presents the best of all services and products that are made in Germany and highlights products that are representative of an entire category of products. An eight-person committee of renowned marketing experts selected the 281 brands which were included in the book. Says Langenscheidt of these elite brands: “Our goal was to present brands that are relevant in Germany and include a depth of information that can not be found in any comparable publication at present. We explain the origins of the name of the brand, as well as its history and the history of the company.”
