Use in Skin Care and Remedies

Although the natural habitat of sage is in the warm climates of the Mediterranean, it can withstand cold winters. Ever green, the small bush appears at its freshest and most vital particularly in the cold season: an expression of its great vitality that connects with the physical life forces in man. Therefore sage has a close relationship to the skin as a secreting organ, to the activity of the sweat glands. By helping to connect man more closely to his physical body, sage has a warming effect.

In Dr.Hauschka Skin Care, the warming and regulating components are used in many preparations, such as Dr.Hauschka Bronzing Powder, Rouge Powder, Sage Bath, Deodorant Fresh, Deodorant Floral, Rosemary Foot Balm, Body Powder, Lemon Lemongrass Body Moisturizer, Quince Body Moisturizer and Intensive Treatment 02.

Sage is also a component of Dr.Hauschka Med Sage Mouthwash and Labimint Acute Lip Care.

In WALA medicines, the inflammation-inhibiting property of sage is the main feature, preparations such as WALA Echinacea Mouth and Throat Spray* (for acute and chronically inflammatory changes in the mucous membranes in the neck-nose-throat area and the tonsils) and WALA Archangelica comp.* (for inflammatory changes in the respiratory tract). Indications: Inflammatory conditions of the airways, e.g. inflammation of the vocal cords (laryngitis), inflammation of the windpipe (tracheitis), dry tickly cough.

Echinacea Mund- und Rachenspray (mouth and throat spray)
Indications: Harmonisation of the sensitivity organisation in the oropharyngeal region in acute and chronic inflammatory conditions of the mucous membranes and the tonsils and in patients with a lymphatic diathesis.
Warning: As Echinacea Mund- und Rachenspray contains sage, women who are breastfeeding should only use the product after consulting a doctor. Contains 18 % (v/v) alcohol.
